One of the most valuable outcomes of SolarWine's participation in the Ecologix Accelerator, powered by Tech7, was the realization that our opportunity extends well beyond vineyards. We entered the program with a clear mission: to develop and productize an end-to-end Agro-PV solution for vineyards, combining proprietary canopy design, monitoring systems, agronomic insights and software into one integrated platform.
That vineyard-specific work remains our beachhead and a core part of our value proposition. But the process of developing, testing and productizing the solution taught us something broader: every Agro-PV environment is different. Different crops, canopy structures, climates, farming practices and energy objectives require different technical and operational decisions.
A broader opportunity
Through the accelerator, and through discussions with growers, energy partners, investors and ecosystem experts, we recognized that the future of Agro-PV will not be won by hardware alone. The market needs an operating layer that can collect data, interpret field conditions, support decisions and make Agro-PV projects more manageable across different crops and infrastructure models.
From vineyard solution to platform
As a result, SolarWine is expanding from a complete proprietary Agro-PV solution for vineyards into a broader software and operational platform. While vineyards remain our first commercial focus, the platform is becoming crop- and canopy-agnostic: able to support third-party canopy systems and additional agricultural use cases over time.
| Existing Products | New Products / Platform Layer | |
|---|---|---|
| New Markets | Market Development Applying vineyard-based Agro-PV knowledge to design the right canopy logic for new plants and environments. | Strategic Diversification Extending the platform to new crops and use cases, starting with SolarWine's first jojoba project. |
| Existing Markets | Market Penetration Scaling SolarWine's vineyard solution while continuing to develop monitoring and control capabilities. | Product Development Using years of field data and heuristic questions to shape the ML/AI layer of the vineyard software. |
The vineyard remains our beachhead. The platform becomes our scale. Thank you to the Ecologix and Tech7 teams for helping us challenge our assumptions, sharpen our strategy and define the next stage of SolarWine's growth.
